What are their roles in shaping learning programmes or in decision-making? During the roundtable, we will hear from learners who will share how adult learning organisations can strengthen the voice of learners across their activities in the area of the green transition, and the significance that the green transition has on their lives and communities.

Parallel workshops
A. Green transition and democratic processes: getting everyone on board
How can adult learning involve citizens in the green transition process in an engaging way? The workshop will explore ways in which educators and organisations can proactively address misinformation and conspiracy theories around the green transition by doing what adult education does best: creating a space for dialogue and active participation.
Facilitated by Stefan Grasgruber-Kerl, Head of Campaigning at Südwind, Austria and Katarina Stekić, Center for the Promotion of Science, Belgrade
B. Adult learning as a space for political engagement
Adult learning can provide a space for political empowerment or even activism to address the climate crisis. How can different generations learn from each other’s experience with political engagement? The workshop will explore the potential for intergenerational learning in a political context.
Facilitated by Dearbhail Lawless, AONTAS, Ireland / EAEA Executive Board

Parallel workshops
A. Building green partnerships
Adult learning organisations don’t have to start from scratch to foster learning for a green transition. Who can help them, and how can partnerships be established? During the workshop, participants will look at how adult learning providers and associations can look for allies, and the tools and strategies to build green partnerships.
Facilitated by Davide Muraro, EAEA and Ester Hakobyan, DVV International Armenia / International ESD Alliances
B. Developing a green skills strategy
What can adult learning providers do to embed green skills / environmental capabilities in their curricula? During the workshop, participants will explore the concept of green skills against the broader framework of life skills, and will get to know recent research of the Learning and Work Institute on Reskilling for Net Zero.
Facilitated by Alex Stevenson, Learning and Work Institute, UK / European Basic Skills Network and EAEA Executive Board
